WHAT IS SPINAL ENERGETICS?

Spinal Energetics is an integrative practice that works with both the physical and energetic systems of the body. Through light contact, intuitive guidance, and energetic attunement, it invites the release of tension, stress, and stored emotional patterns—creating space for greater clarity, alignment, and wellbeing. This approach honours the body’s innate intelligence and allows your system to self-organise toward balance.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT DURING A SESSION?

Every session is unique, as your body will respond in the way it needs. You may experience physical movement, shifts in breath, emotional release, or deep states of calm. Some people experience a wave of sensations, while others may feel very little in the moment—both are entirely valid. I will hold space and guide the process with care, and you’re always welcome to discuss what feels comfortable for you.

DO I HAVE TO MOVE DURING AN APT? AM I EXPECTED TO?

There’s no expectation of how your body should respond. Movements can range from large, spontaneous releases to subtle micro-adjustments, or complete stillness. Your body is in the driver’s seat and you will be met where you are. The most important thing is to stay present and allow whatever arises without forcing or suppressing it.

IS SPINAL ENERGETICS SAFE FOR EVERYONE?

While Spinal Energetics is generally gentle and non-invasive, it may not be suitable for everyone. Certain health conditions or life stages—such as late pregnancy, acute injury, recent surgery, or specific neurological or cardiovascular concerns—may require postponing or modifying the session. Please ensure you’ve read the contraindications at the bottom of this page before booking, and always advise of any relevant health updates before each appointment.

WILL I FEEL DIFFERENT STRAIGHT AWAY?

Some people feel immediate shifts after a session—such as lightness, emotional release, deep calm, or increased energy—while others notice more gradual or subtle changes over the following days and weeks. Each body processes in its own time, and each session builds on the last. Consistency (particularly in the beginning) supports the deepest and most lasting results.

IS IT POSSIBLE TO FEEL WORSE BEFORE I FEEL BETTER?

It’s possible to experience temporary discomfort or shifts as your system recalibrates, which is perfectly normal. This may include muscle soreness, headaches, fatigue, emotional sensitivity, or physical detox symptoms. These are often signs of old patterns releasing and your system adjusting to new levels of balance. Aftercare is an important part of this process, and I will guide you through supportive practices post-session.

HOW MANY SESSIONS WILL I NEED?

The number of sessions varies from person to person, depending on your needs, goals, and how your system responds. While some people feel significant shifts after just one session, ongoing support is often recommended—especially if you're working through long-held physical or emotional patterns. Many clients choose to book their first few sessions close together to allow for deeper unwinding and integration.

WHAT DO I NEED TO PREPARE FOR THE SESSION?

Wear comfortable clothing and arrive with an open mind and no expectations. Try to avoid heavy meals, stimulants, or rushing before your appointment. Afterward, give yourself space for rest, hydration, and gentle movement. Allow your body the time it needs to process, and trust that the work will continue unfolding beyond the appointment itself.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

A note on Safety and Suitability

Your wellbeing and nervous system health are always my highest priority.

Spinal Energetics is a gentle yet powerful modality designed to support deep release and long-term resilience — and like any form of care, it’s important to ensure the timing is right for your body, mind, and current circumstances.

There are some situations where Spinal Energetics may not be the best fit, or where clearance is advised before booking. In some cases, we may postpone your session or suggest an alternative approach until your system is ready to safely engage with the work.


Spinal Energetics may not be suitable for those who:

  1. Are in the first or final trimester of pregnancy

    1. Are under 12 years old or over 75 years old

    2. Have a history of severe PTSD

    3. Have been diagnosed with severe mental health conditions such as bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, or psychosis

    4. Are currently taking medication or drugs that significantly alters brain chemistry

    5. Have had recent physical injury, such as bone fracture or surgery

    6. Have a history of epilepsy, seizures, aneurysms, or cardiovascular conditions

    7. Are managing severe asthma or heart disease

    8. Have been hospitalised for psychiatric conditions, emotional crisis, or spiritual emergency in the past three years

    9. Are navigating any other medical, psychiatric, or physical conditions that could impair their ability to engage in a session involving physical, emotional, or energetic release
